Everything can be accessed with point-and-click simplicity. Together with your Konica Minolta multifunctional peripheral, PageScope Cabinet Pro allows you to scan hard-copy documents directly to your PC where you can organize, file, perform OCR, enhance image quality, convert file formats, combine images and electronic documents into a PDF, and output any document you need to print, fax or even attach files to e-mail messages. Paper documents can be easily scanned and combined with documents created electronically.

PageScope Cabinet Pro has special features that simplify scanning and storage. Scanned data is automatically saved into folders you designate, so files are easier to find. Both scanned and electronic documents can be viewed as thumbnail previews, allowing you to identify them at a glance.

PageScope Cabinet Pro gives you a powerful array of search and retrieval tools, including filename, date, sticky notes, tags and added information -- even a combination of search criteria. You can also use OCR (Optical Character Recognition) to perform full text search for the information you need.  Just type in a word and Cabinet Pro will bring up the document you are looking for immediately.

To create new documents, a simple drag-and-drop procedure lets you extract the necessary pages from existing documents regardless of file format. For example, you can create a new document by combining existing data in Excel files, a product photo taken by a digital camera, and image data scanned by your Konica Minolta multifunctional peripheral. And since your new documents are saved as a PDF file, you can easily print it, attach it to an e-mail, or save it for future use.

Importing scanned documents is easy. Just use the "Scan to FTP" command function on your Konica Minolta multifunctional device. The scanned document will be imported to the file you designate. When you install PageScope Cabinet Pro, a simple FTP server is automatically set up on your computer.

Why re-scan an image that is off-center or lopsided? The powerful image enhancement features of PageScope Cabinet Pro let you manipulate and correct the images you've scanned. You can:

Photo images can suffer from problems like overexposure and backlighting -- but PageScope Cabinet Pro lets you correct these conditions and compare enhanced and original images side by side.

PageScope Cabinet Pro gives you "virtual merge" capability to combine related documents without affecting your originals.

Thumbnail previews provided by PageScope Cabinet Pro let you view the contents of documents without opening them. You can point and click on individual images, use the convenient scrollbar for fast review, or use "Slide Show" function to display full-screen images of each document in a virtual-merge file.

A multi-page document can be divided into "page units" you can divide for editing, merge into new documents, or use to create a new document.

PageScope Cabinet Pro makes it easy to rearrange page order or extract one or more pages from a multi-page document. Just drag and drop.

Want to create chapter or section breaks in a completed document? Use PageScope Cabinet Pro to insert white pages. New white pages can be easily adjusted for position, size, and orientation.

Add your own descriptive tags, markers or keywords to the documents you store. You can also add individual notes and store your information separately from the original file, so others can open it in its original form.

The result is a simple, seamless system that takes full advantage of the high scanning speed of your Minolta multifunctional device. Scanned documents go directly where they're needed. And with hard-copy documents in electronic form, you can edit, annotate, and make revisions more quickly.

Distribute Scanned Data Throughout your network: You can classify documents in three categories: Public (for shared use), Group (to be set up by the network administrator), and Private (for individual use). Your documents can be sent by e-mail, scanned to FTP, reorganized, printed, or deleted. A central document repository also saves time by distributing documents automatically or manually to preselected destinations immediately after modification. PageScope Router is compatible with many enterprise systems, including Lotus Notes, MS Exchange, and MS Sharepoint Portal Server.

Enhance, Enlarge and Manipulate Images: Improve the quality of your scanned documents with special features: angle and size adjustment, speckle reduction, contrast adjustment, and image rotation. An easy-to-use graphic interface makes all these automatic image enhancements as simple as point-and-click.

Manage Color and Convert Files: PageScope Router features sRGB file conversion, which allows you to achieve uniform color reproduction on Konica Minolta sRGB compatible devices -- so you can send color illustrations, comps or proofs to remote locations for adjustments or approvals.

Annotate Scanned Pages: You may need to add revised text, highlight key sections, underline items, outline next steps, or add clarifying comments to a document. Pagescope Web Connection

PageScope Web Connection gives every Konica Minolta output device an extra boost in intelligence--making it smart enough to create its own web page. There's no need to configure any special computer software. PageScope Web Connection is loaded directly into your Konica Minolta printer/copier. It lets you use a standard web browser to display detailed information on each device--so you can view current status, adjust settings, set up one-touch dialing, choose the address for scanned data, and more, all on your desktop PC. That means you don't need to go to each device and make adjustments on its operating panel. For large networks, it's a real time-saver. And because you can access information and quickly and easily, uptime is increased--so your document flow is more productive.

PageScope Web Connection gives every device on your network its own HTTP server. For setup or adjustment, just use your web browsers to access the information for each device. You can make all your adjustments right from your desktop PC.

Contact information keeps changing. Addresses must be constantly updated. New addressees have to be added -- and when you bring a new multifunctional peripheral into your network, you need to preserve current address book information. The PageScope Address Book Utility (ABU) allows users to download, in bulk, e-mail addresses from a main LDAP compatible email server or from a local PC directly to the "one-touches" of many Minolta devices.

The PageScope ABU has a simple interface to make the task of registering or updating e-mail "one-touches" faster and more efficient. Select the e-mail addresses you want, add or update the addresses, edit the address book information, store addresses in a wide variety of formats, and export them to another Konica Minolta device... it's all that easy!

Please note: when importing and exporting addresses from one multifunctional peripheral to another multifunctional peripheral, it must be the same model type.

Import E-Mail Addresses from an Address Book File: A user can import addresses in a wide range of common file formats, giving you access to database addresses, e-mail addresses, and address date in other software. The ABU supports the following file types: CSV, TAB, LDIF, Notes Structured Text.

Search and import address data from an LDAP server: A user can also import addresses from an LDAP server by searching and selecting addresses individually, importing only the ones they need.  The ABU supports the following servers:
